The clients we serve live across the country. We also have planners and team members across the country. We built a virtual service model to meet you when and where you are comfortable. We can accommodate your preferences. Whether that’s meeting times, days or video conferencing solutions. We won’t ask you to come visit our office, but we do find that using a video conferencing tool like Zoom makes it easier for our planners and clients to share screens to collaborate on the financial planning process.

All of our clients start the process by having a Welcome Meeting with one of our financial planners. The purpose of this meeting is for us to get to know each other and understand what is most important to you. What do you want to accomplish?

We help you implement these actions, provide accountability, and monitor your progress.

We take a holistic approach with an emphasis on your entire financial life – not just investments. Ultimately, our goal is to create a path towards financial prosperity and peace of mind so you can focus on your family, career, that trip of a lifetime or retirement. Our entire financial planning team is either a CFP® professional or working towards their CFP® credentials.

Our fees are transparent. We charge fees in two ways.

  1. We charge a flat fee for our foundational financial planning services based on the complexity of your financial situation. This fee ranges from $399/quarter to $750/quarter. We do offer the ability for the fee to be paid in monthly increments.
  2. For our clients that have investment accounts with us, we charge a flat management fee of 0.20% annually, billed on a quarterly basis. For example; If you had an investment account of approximately $10,000 the annual fee of 0.20% would equate to $20 a year or $5 per quarter.

No. There is no minimum to start investing and no minimum balance. We want you to be able to get started with the amount that is appropriate for you.

We believe that a simple yet sophisticated investment approach can help you reach your goals quicker. Automation of contributions, a specific timeframe, and a globally diversified portfolio are the tools to help your money work for you.

We have partnered with a company called Betterment that provides a platform, and builds a portfolio of investments based on our client’s risk and time horizon.

The portfolios are globally diversified using low-cost exchange traded funds (ETFs) across the equity and bond markets. The returns earned in these portfolios are dependent on the underlying securities (ETFs) performance over the time that the portfolio was invested.

We offer account types for many different purposes.

For your investments, you can use either a personal taxable account or a joint taxable account with your spouse or partner (sometimes labeled “brokerage accounts” at other providers). You can also invest for your existing trust. For retirement savings, you can save using a traditional IRA, Roth IRA, or a SEP IRA.

Account types we don’t currently offer: 529 accounts, custodial accounts for minors (e.g., UTMA), or “solo 401(k)” plans.

Yes, we offer three different SRI portfolios; A Broad Impact Portfolio, a Climate Impact Portfolio, and a Social Impact Portfolio. You can read more about the portfolio construction in this White Paper and the Disclosures.

Your data will always be yours.

We employ industry best practices to keep your data safe. We will never sell your data.

When it comes to protecting you and your data, we do not believe that simply checking boxes to ensure compliance is adequate. We employ industry best practices to ensure information security is at the core of our technology and business operations, yet strive to set a new standard for bank-level security and privacy. We offer account types for many different purposes.

We ask our clients to link their accounts to our financial planning portal so that they and our planners can have the most updated comprehensive view of all of their assets and liabilities in a centralized location.

While never a requirement, you will be invited to enter your online financial institution credentials. We never see those credentials, nor do we store them. Your credentials are securely passed from your financial institution and we are provided with a read-only feed of balance and transaction information. We do not have access to your money nor can we make any changes to your account. If for whatever reason you want to remove our read-only access, you will be able to de-link those accounts.
